Description

Senate Standing Committee on Energy Chairman Senator Oburu Odinga during a fact-finding mission at the Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) in Mombasa to assess the country’s preparedness in responding to oil spills. The Committee has raised concerns over the emerging risk of oil pollution from ships operating within Kenya’s territorial waters, saying the threat poses grave danger to marine life and the blue economy.
