Description

April 14, 1966: Vice-President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga resigns from government and as a Kanu party member. This was after the Limuru Conference, where the Kanu constitution was changed to abolish his position of party deputy president. Here, he is with President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta (center) and the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr Heinrich Luebke (left), at State House in February 1966.
