Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Blue Economy Prof. Micheni Ntiba and Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with nine county governments on the implementation of the Aquaculture Business Development Programme (ABDP) in Nyeri Town on October 12, 2020. The KSh 15 billion programme was launched to boost fish farming in rural areas, with a focus on promoting production by small-scale aquaculture farmers. The event was attended by Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, Embu Governor Martin Wambora, and other dignitaries.
