Description

July 12, 1975: President Jomo Kenyatta launches an intensive Kanu reorganization and revitalization drive at state house Nakuru following a marathon meeting attended by Kanu district chairmen from all over the country. Addressing newsmen shortly after the meeting, President Kenyatta, who was also Kanu’s president said that the meeting paved the way for a “strong Kanu to guide the nation’s democratic political aspirations”. Asked if anybody had been expelled from the party, he replied “La. Kila mtu ni timamu” (“No, everyone is stable”). Here. President Jomo Kenyatta and Vice President Daniel Moi join delegates in giving the Kanu sign after the Kanu meeting in Nakuru on July 12, 1975.
