Description

Ms Lilian Okello, a Kisumu resident, discusses the ongoing court rulings on election petitions. She notes that the electorate must respect the process and move on, specifically concurring with the ruling on the Siaya case which nullified the election of Cornel Rasanga. She states it is true that Mr. Oduol won against a myriad of negative campaigns and that the court has now spoken as the people of Siaya. She observes that leaders whose elections are upheld feel vindicated, and MPs who survive petitions often work harder to prove their fair win, while the public may eventually support them as their representative. September 8, 2013.
