Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya briefs media at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) on January 26, 2023, after the 19th Ordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC) meeting held there. He briefed media on the mining blast in Nandi Chemase which left three fatalities and six people seriously injured this after a court order by the Environment and Land Court in Kapsabet ordered the cessation of mining operations within the location.
