Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government Musalia Mudavadi, Mumias MP Ben Washiali, and the new Mayor of Mumias, nominated councillor Rashid Omwendo, share a word of wisdom during the launch of the Western Education Advocacy and Empowerment (WEAEP) Centre in Mumias Town, which will assist children. Mudavadi made it clear that it is not the local authority that nominates councillors but that they are nominated by their parties on July 13, 2009.
