Anglican Church of Kenya Bishop Charles Asilutwa of Maseno North Diocese receiving Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka and Senator of Kakamega Cleophas Malala at Christ Church Milimani in Kakamega town during a harambee in aid of the church on 21 October 2018, where Lusaka urged residents and leaders of Western Kenya to embrace the handshake for development in the country. Lusaka donated Ksh 200,000, a Ksh 500,000 donation from President Uhuru Kenyatta was also mentioned, while Malala contributed Ksh 100,000.
